On November 1, 1918, an elevated train was heading for the Flatbush section of Brooklyn with hundreds of commuters aboard. As the train rumbled down a short hill, the motorman lost control. The Malbone Street Wreck chronicles that fateful trip and examines the possible causes of the accident.
